2006-2008 C6 Z06 LS7 and 2008 C6 LS3 Corvette Vortech Supercharging Systems
You can purchase the popular Vortech superchargers for 2006 to 2008 LS7 and LS3 Corvettes. Both the LS7 and the LS3 are powerful V8s with up to 500 hp and up to 475 lb ft torque. 2006 brought in the new Z06 version in a six speed manual transmission, and a hand-built 5050 hp 7 liter V8 that delivers 0 to 60 in under four seconds. For 2008, the LS3 has 430 bhp at 5900 rpm, and 0 to 60 capability in 4.3 seconds. It comes with a standard six speed manual transmission, but an automatic is available.
Add a Vortech supercharger and then hang on. With a Vortech supercharger installed, the LS3 can get 591 hp and 500 lb ft torque. With the supercharger, the LS7 can get up to 635 hp and 540 lb ft torque.
Vortech superchargers are gear driven and operate very quietly. Vortech promises unequaled reliability with their one year supercharger limited warranty for all superchargers except for race-built models. A three year supercharger limited warranty is included with oil-fed superchargers that are part of a complete street-legal system. The three year warranty isn't available on tuner kits.
The oil feed and drain structures give you the best possible lubrication and cooling even under prolonged boost conditions. A fuel management upgrade is available that includes high capacity fuel injectors and a handheld programmer.
The configuration that features an integrated charge cooler makes for cooler air intake and hence extra horsepower gains. Heat resistant silicon sleeves and stainless steel clamps protect the inlet and discharge duct connections. And the mounting bracket is made to look like OEM and fit under the factory hood.
It is important to note that these supercharger systems are not approved for the 2008 LS3 C6 with the automatic transmission. However, the complete systems are legal (except for the LS3 C6 automatic) as far as smog regulations in all 50 states.
The complete kits do not differ that much in price between the V-2 and V-3 versions. They're $6,700.00 to $7,000.00 approximately. The tuner kits cost $6,150.00 to $6,450.
